This is a stunning piece of nostalgia what looks like it left the Margate factory just yesterday,  it is absolutely pristine and is the best example I have ever seen or handled.

Nearly every lad who grew up in the 1960s and 70s owned a Tri-ang Princess and this will bring back fond memories

Produced in May 1972 this is a fantastic model and looks to be test run only.

Under test it runs so very sweetly it’s a gem and to add to its gleaming paintwork appeal it is also fitted with a fully working smoke unit and a sound unit generated from a friction drive plate under the tender.

The paintwork and lining are completely unmarked, the only very slight issues to mention are the chrome banding around the driving wheels are showing some sign of oxidisation  as are the valve gear which is age related and the cylinder block lining o the left is slightly faded .

This is the very last version made before production ceased and was not re tooled to the correct scale length until 1982

The Loco is running with full valve gear and chrome rimmed pony truck wheels.

The model also comes with a full instruction sheet and an untouched transfer sheet with alternative names and numbers 6204/6210 or 6212

Box is also in superb condition with a few age related scuffs, the inners plastic transport tray is intact as is the outer box storage sleeve.
