This Will seem strange thinking about this as we endure the latest heatwave but we now have Tickets available for the 2025 Christmas Manchester Model Railway Show in December, this will be a very special show in the clubs centenary Year, Adults £14 Saturday. £11 on Sunday with accompanied children going Free. Can be bought in person via our high street shop.

You may have seen an offer on line for Tickets at £10 , that was for the first 100 people to apply on the Saturday or Sunday who are on the clubs mailing list ,  sorry not available at our store.

New arrivals to report just today are the Bachmann 009 Talyllyn 0-4-2 saddle tank in Black, green and red, beautiful little things indeed.

In stock now are the Accurascale OO Brush Type 5 Class 60s , already we only have the GBRf and EWS with DCC sound available the other liveries are already spoken for.

Recent arrivals from Hornby include the very nice Salmon Bogie wagon YMA all liveries available

Lima J50 Class 0-6-0 Steam Locomotive LMS Red

Preowned, in good condition. An odd loco, we’re unsure of it’s origin; likely from a budget level train set due to it’s simple finish and lack of windows. Good runner with the usual growly ringfield motor; just been oiled , fully servicable and long lasting.

Unusual choice of loco as its an LNER design in LMS Livery

Made in smal numbers during 1981 only to fit the Midland Express train set

Complete and undamaged with exception to the righthand side printing  on the LMS which has suffered some scuffing; all steps and ladders intact. Reasonably clean, wheels will need a polish at some point. Couplings are not NEM but are removable should you wish to do so. Not DCC ready but easy enough to hard wire for the intermediate modeller.

Box is unlikely to be original  and is suitably aged with corner and edge wear as well as a replacement window. Old price stickers remain on the end flap, from many a moon ago.
