Hornby Railways R.179 Inter-City Mail Train Set; TPO, Class 37

Preowned, in excellent condition – -appears lightly used or test run Only  Locomotive tested and running very  well

BR Blue and Grey MK2a coaches plus scale length TPO coach  rolling freely on plastic wheels with metal tyres. All wheels spotlessly clean. From a bereavement sale of a collector, hence condition.

This is an unusual set complete with a Class 37071 with Large BR Arrows very unusual at the time instructions dated 1981 The loco is the later type with plastic bogie frames and trusty Ringfield motor, will last years.

Appears complete and undamaged,  All items Very clean, the chrome window frames on the coaches are mint and unscathed.

All TPO equipment appears present, still bagged up and unused  along with tunnel mouths. Controller provided is a battery operated type – note, UNTESTED.

Box in very good condition with fair corner and edge wear for its age.  Instructions present.

A great collectors piece for anyone who had a Hornby set in the 1970s / 80s , these do not turn up in this condition very often.
