Lima British Steel  Articulated Torpedo Wagon Molten Steel Carrier

A very unusual vehicle used within the confines of most major Steel works to convey molten metal to different parts of the plant , often weighing around 700 tons per casket hence the need for all those wheels to spread the weight.

The markings on the wagon id board to read sncf as if its originally produced for the continental market, but it has british style couplings and will look very much at home on any British Outline industrial layout , a very interesting Model.

HO/00 gauge

Preowned, incorrect box. In very good condition with no damage.

Free running with metal wheels. Tension lock couplings – not NEM – and all buffers are intact too. A little dusty but otherwise fine.

Box is not original but is of Lima origin. In fair condition for the age.
