Brand new Hornby model from their very popular Railroad range of simpler, lower priced models. This of course is Mallard, the ever so famous 126mph locomotive that still holds the record to this day. This example is in original LNER Garter blue.

This model is new and never used nor opened and only done so for photos and tests. It runs lovely and is undamaged. The model is DCC ready with a 6 pin socket, and NEM couplings.

Box is also mint and actually rather lovely; it isn't the usual red and yellow of Hornby Railroad, but rather a blue one with official Mallard branding from the National Railway Museum. It's very nice and an ideal gift option for the fan of this famous engine.
